We get it, coming to Hawaii can be daunting and choosing the best beach for your elopement can be overwhelming, check out our guide on some of the best locations for your ceremony.

Waimanalo Bay Beach Park is located between Oahu's South and East Shores and is famed for its beautiful, long white sandy beach which is perfect for ceremonies of all sizes, please note there is a maximum limit of 30 guests on all of Oahu’s beaches.

The turquoise waters make the most romantic backdrop and it was our most popular Oahu Beach Location for 2015. It also won Best Beach in America 2015!

Waimanalo Bay Beach doesn't see a direct Sunset, however, the lighting in the early to late afternoon is just amazing. I will definitely say that choosing this location first thing in the morning is by far the best time and also avoids the crowds. As this is a popular beach, we don’t recommend planning an elopement over a weekend or public holiday.

Located about 40-60 minutes south east of Waikiki its an easy location to get to with ample parking available.

Heaven’s Point or Lanai Lookout:

Definitely something for the adventurous couple and one I’d recommend mainly as a secondary location for post ceremony photos.

Lanai Lookout is a stunning cliffside location featuring dramatic crashing waves crashing against the rocks. It makes for incredible photos but does require traversing some loose and potentially treacherous terrain. Closed toe shoes are advised.

Kawela Bay - The Jewel Of The North Shore of Oahu

Kawela Bay is an almost hidden gem on the North Shore of Oahu and gives the benfit of both a beach ceremony, photo opportunities as well as a stunning Banyan Forest. The Turtle Bay Resort is the closest Hotel but many of my couples do the scenic drive from Waikiki to enjoy this remarkable backdrop.

This location works best in the late afternoon with the amazing golden light pouring through the trees or reflecting off the beautiful water on the beach. By far one of my personal favorites and I have done dozens of elopements at this locale.

Allow yourself a good 1.5 hours drive from Waikiki for this one, its well worth the drive and for a dinner post ceremony I suggest Haliewa Joes in the town of Haliewa, approximately 20 minutes west of the bay.

Did You Know? - Quite a few Hollywood blockbuster films have been made at this location, including LOST, Pirates Of The Caribbean, 50 First Dates and Jumanji to name a few.

Sunset Beach, North Shore Oahu

Sunset Beach near Haleiwa Town on Oahu's North Shore is famed for its incredible surf. During the winter months, this location attracts people from all over the world to watch some of this planet's best and most famous surfers!

During the Spring, Summer months Sunset Beach is a calm paradise-like most other beaches in Hawaii and makes for a magnificent Wedding or Vow Renewal location! As its name suggests Sunset Beach is known for its amazing Sunsets and is ideally a late afternoon beach but can also work for any time of the day.

Allow for a 1-1.5 hour Scenic Drive if you are staying in town, parking can sometimes be tricky, especially during winter when the swell is maxing and the surfers are surfing.

Papa’iloa Beach, North Shore Oahu:

Papa'iloa Beach on Oahu's North Shore is one of a kind! Step away from busy Waikiki and enjoy this amazing, quiet beach and secluded beach hidden away from most tourists. Situated just past the famed town of Haleiwa it is about 1hr 15mins from Waikiki. Parking can be tricky here but worth getting away from the crowds at nearby Laniakea, probably also the best place to see Turtles feeding or resting on the shoreline.

Long, natural beaches follow the coastline of lava rocks, tide pools and palm trees.

If you are a fan of the hit TV show LOST, this could be the location for you. The show used this location for 6 years as the main beach location.

Wai'alae Beach Park is located somewhat closer to Waikiki making this a very popular location for Weddings and Vow Renewals.

Situated about 20 minutes away from the City, Waialae Beach Park offers the tropical paradise destination Wedding location everyone dreams about. Waialae Beach offers a vast variety of photo opportunities, from an elegant grass oasis surrounded by palm trees, to enchanting beach images with quaint islands in the background.

Sitting adjacent from the trendy Kahala Hotel and Resort, Wai'alae Beach Park doesn't get a direct Sunset so we recommend either an early morning ceremony or anytime up until about a few hours before Sunset. This makes for that beautiful lighting you only get at Waialae!

Early Morning or Late Afternoon makes this location ideal for amazing Photos. As usual parking can be tricky, we recommend an Uber or Lyft service if you are worried about parking.
